May, 2012
May
is my favorite gardening month. It's a transition from spring into the
rest of the entire growing season, and we're including a lot of exciting
tips and tidbits for your reading enjoyment. If you like what you see,
please do share it with friends.

I've
shown you a couple of places where we removed overgrown undergrowth.
That's a "Neil term" that I created for removing lower branches
and even entire lowest shrubs that have become gnarled and misshapen
due to years (decades) of competing for sunlight. Click
for details.

Ask
Neil

You
could write a book on great things to do in the landscape and garden
in May. However, we've compiled those that are the most critical, and
you'll find them hiding right behind
here.

Jimmy
Turner has asked a little help with this month's featured plant. Neil
turns back most of the pages in his horticultural diary to find a plant
that's taken 50 years to "hit the big time." Cutting-grown
coleus and Neil go back to when horned frogs roamed the earth. Click
