Question: What trees give the best fall color in Texas?

Answer: Fall color will vary greatly from year to year, even on the same tree. Most dependable in Texas, however, are Shumard red oak, ginkgo, Chinese pistachio, sweetgum, ornamental pears, various maples and crape myrtles.
